Posted May 07, 2018 05:19:54As the summer vacation season nears, the Honda Financial Assistance Program (HFA) is now available to students.
Honda will be using the HFA to provide loans to students, staff, and students’ parents who can be applied towards their college tuition.
Students who are interested in enrolling in the program, which is free, can enroll online, through a website or by calling 1-800-HFA.
Honda is also offering an option for students who have a loan balance of less than $1,000 to apply through a phone call, with the option to apply for loans up to $5,000 per year.HFA is available to any students who are enrolled in a degree program and who have $500 or less in student loan debt.
Hearing is the primary method students use to enroll.
The student may enroll in the Financial Assistance program online, but can only apply once a week.
Students must first contact a student financial aid office to be placed on the HSA waiting list.
The HFA waiting list is limited to students who can demonstrate a high-need need.
To enroll, students will need to provide a name, email address, phone number, and the student’s home address.
Students will also need to register and pay for the enrollment application online.
Students who do not have a student loan balance will be contacted by Honda to verify their income.
Once a student has been placed on a waiting list, they will be sent an email confirmation.
Once confirmed, the student can enroll in a program through the HCA website.
The program is not a new option for student loan borrowers, however, there is a significant cost to enrolling through a federal loan.
Students may have to pay $25 to enroll, while some programs require students to pay an additional $5.
Students can also pay for their entire tuition and fees, with some programs requiring a payment of $100 or more.
The Honda program offers a number of scholarships to students that are eligible.
